This blog is to help all those poker players (All levels) who have lost hundreds of $dollars on playing poker online.
My Poker Playing History
I have been playing poker on and off now for around 2 years. I started to play poker whilst at University - the motivation was to help fund my studies and generally have more money available. Like most people, I have won and lost $dollars, but honestly I would have to say I have lost more than I have won. :-(
I have played at all the main poker sites, such as Pkr, PokerStars, Party Poker, 32 Red, Full Tilt Poker and many more - as I am sure 1000s of other players have too.
The thing with online poker, it is very different to playing poker in person. It is harder to judge what people are thinking or what their next move is. You can't see their facial expressions or their body language. The only way to know is to having played with the same players over and over again - but this is very unlikely as players tend to move tables after so many hands. Poker Strategies - which you may have read (Like I have) - I do not think they really work with online poker.
Decision Making is very important in Poker. With online poker their are very few factors that can help aid whether to fold or raise - maybe what openents have previously done, but it could be a bluff.
I wanted to change the way I play poker - rather than playing on luck and thinking that the card I want to come will, these descisions are based on previous hands I have had. The thing with poker any hand you have can win, it all depends what cards are drawn on the flop and the river.
I then came across Texan Buddy . Texan Buddy is a Texas Hodem odds calculator. This has helped me win a lot more hands by aiding my decision making. It tells you what the likely hood is of you winning a particular hand at any given time.
How Does it Work?
While you are playing the game, you simply enter the number of openents playing, the cards you have in your hand and the cards that are visible on the table. At every step the of the game, Texan Buddy recalculates the odds.
